WEHAB

WEHAB stands for Water, Energy, Health, Agriculture and Biodiversity. The United Nation has also endorsed these five sectors, known by the phrase of WEHAB, as the areas of intervention for sustainable development. It is an established fact that these five sectors have intricate relationships with each other and in turn all five have linkages with poverty. Sustainable development of MP is also predicated on the judicious management of these five sectors.

Apart from these sectoral inter-linkages these have very strong linkages with poverty as well. Hence in the present scheme of things addressing WEHAB in a holistic manner is the right approach, especially for a state like Madhya Pradesh where the paradox of poverty and richness of bioresearches exists, which can address the issues of poverty.
