Although the water level in the Lower lake is constant, yet, due to the fact that the lower lake is encompassed on all sides by Human Settlements and is extremely susceptible to encroachment some degree of protection is utmost necessory. The Lower lake already has part areas encompassed by an arched boundary wall. The balance length of 4602 meters is unguarded. It is proposed that the remaining part of the arched boundary wall be completed. The work is being executed by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation and is estimated to cost approximately Rs. 0.86 millions. The work is expected to be completed in 8 months time. The works have commenced in July 2001 and are likely to be completed by 31st March 2002. |
