National Environment Awareness Campaign (NEAC) 2006-07 & 2007-08 (NEAC)
“Solid Waste Management” was the main for NEAC 2006-07. During the year 1782 proposals from 48 districts of Madhya Pradesh were received. Out of which 875 proposals were approved and an amount of Rs.44.64 lakhs to participating organizations was sanctioned. Evaluation & Monitoring report and utilization certificate for NEAC 2006-07 have been submitted to the MoEF, GOI.
“Biodiversity Conservation” is the main theme for NEAC 2007-08. During the year 1706 proposals from all 48 districts of the state were received. Out of which 883 proposals were approved and an amount of Rs. 45.91 lakhs to participating organizations was sanctioned. Different awareness and action oriented activities on Biodiversity Conservation are being organized by the participating organizations.
Under NEAC, EPCO as Regional Resource Agency (RRA) of MoEF, GoI organized various activities. Six Regional Orientation Workshop for NEAC 2007-08 have been organized at Rewa, Katni, Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Chhindwara.
